22 Reasons to Choose
Hear Like a 21 Year Old
Choosing the right hearing care isn’t easy. There are plenty of options out there, but not all care is created equal.
To make things simple, here are 21 reasons why local residents trust Hear Like a 21 Year Old. These reasons go beyond technology and show what real, long-term hearing care looks like.
The Name Says It All
When you were 21, hearing was effortless.
You never strained to follow conversations. Music was crisp, and every word came through clearly.
That’s the benchmark here. The goal isn’t to promise miracles or turn back time, but to bring back that ease and freedom. Patients choose us because the name reflects a real mission: to restore hearing that feels natural, sharp, and vibrant again.

Independent & Locally Owned
There’s a big difference between an independent clinic and a national chain.
Independence means no sales quotas, no manufacturer targets, and no pressure to fit you with a device that isn’t right. Every recommendation is made with your outcome in mind. Because our clinics are local, decisions are made right here in the community, and they’re based on your needs, not dictated by a corporate office miles away.
This independence gives patients better relationships, more confidence, and peace of mind: the three pillars of care that define what we do.
Trusted by Senior Living Centers
Many senior living communities invite us in as their preferred hearing care partner. Why? Because they know residents receive the same gold-standard testing, fittings, and support as in our clinics, without the difficulty of travel.
Families gain peace of mind, staff gain reliable support, and residents gain clarity, confidence, and connection. That trust is earned every day, and it’s why so many senior living centers rely on Hear Like a 21 Year Old.

Always On Hand to Help
Here, you’ll always know exactly who to call if you need help, reassurance, or advice. No endless phone menus, no weeks of waiting. Real support is always close at hand. Because we’re independent and rooted in this community, you’re never passed from department to department.
You speak to people who know you, understand your history, and can solve problems quickly. That personal connection gives patients peace of mind that they’ll never be treated like a number. Instead, you’ll be treated like a neighbor.
Unhurried Appointments
Too many people have experienced rushed hearing tests and quick fittings. That never happens here. Appointments are unhurried and designed around your pace.
We spend meaningful time with you upfront: consulting about your hearing loss, identifying who is hardest to hear, and discussing which listening environments are most challenging. We look at whether you’d benefit from wireless connections like Bluetooth, and whether dexterity might affect which aids are best for you.
Next, an otoscopic exam checks the condition of your ear canals, screens for wax buildup, and assesses the health of your eardrums. If needed, we’ll recommend and provide ear cleaning before testing begins. In some cases, medical clearance is required first, and we’ll guide you through that too.
Time is taken to explain results, answer questions, and make sure you feel confident in your decisions. Patients walk away with clarity, not confusion, and that makes all the difference.

The 365-Day Promise
Better hearing doesn’t stop once your hearing aids are fitted. With structured programs offering five, 10, or 15 visits over one to three years, you’re supported every step of the way.
That’s the 365-Day Promise: care that lasts, not just at the start, but every single day.
Flexible Scheduling
Life doesn’t always fit neatly into office hours. That’s why scheduling here is flexible.
Appointments are arranged around you, not the other way around. Whether you need early mornings, late afternoons, or something in between, the goal is to make hearing care as easy and stress-free as possible. Convenience matters, and flexibility ensures you get it.

A Local Focus
This isn’t a chain trying to cover a whole region. This is a locally rooted practice, built to serve residents across Devon, Chester Springs, and Lansdowne.
The focus is entirely on these communities, not on expansion, franchising, or chasing numbers. Patients here aren’t strangers; they’re individuals with a lifetime of stories. Our goal is simple: to help those stories continue by ensuring you can clearly hear your family and friends.
That local heart is what builds lasting trust.
98 Percent Daily Use Rate
Nationally, about 40 percent of people don’t wear their hearing aids regularly. Here, over 98 percent wear theirs.
Why? Because the right devices are chosen, fittings are tailored, and structured follow-up ensures small challenges are fixed before they become frustrations.

10
Depth of Relationships
This isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about long-term care. Patients aren’t just seen once and forgotten. Relationships are built over time, with ongoing appointments, continual adjustments, and support that grows as your needs change.
That depth of relationship means trust, comfort, and the reassurance that you’ll never face hearing challenges alone.
The Listening Coach
Hearing aids are part of the solution, but so is learning to adapt. That’s why we act as a Listening Coach, guiding patients to retrain their brain, adjust to new sounds, and manage noisy environments.
This support makes a huge difference. Patients don’t just wear devices, they thrive with them.

Tailored Solutions
Every patient is unique, and so is every solution. That’s why there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Assessments go deep, conversations uncover lifestyle needs, and recommendations are always tailored.
The result? Solutions that work in your real world, not just in the clinic. Patients know they’re getting care that’s designed for them and only them.
An “Education First” Approach
Knowledge is power. That’s why every appointment focuses on education. Patients leave with a clear understanding of their results, their options, and their care plan. Nothing is hidden. Everything is explained.
Education goes further here, and we provide:
Laminated instruction cards for caretakers in senior living communities
Custom handouts for real-world challenges: cleaning your ears, using bulb syringes, navigating phone apps, connecting Bluetooth, updating Apple operating systems, changing wax filters, and keeping molds clean
This practical support builds confidence and peace of mind, removing fear and replacing it with certainty.

Independent Technology Access
Being independent means access to all leading hearing aid brands.
Patients aren’t limited to one option or steered toward what a company wants to sell. The right device is chosen based on hearing profile, lifestyle, and budget. That independence ensures solutions that fit perfectly for comfort, performance, and daily life.
Trusted by Local Families
Hearing challenges affect more than one person; they touch the entire family.
When one person hears better, conversations are smoother, relationships grow stronger, and life at home becomes easier. Families across Devon, Chester Springs, and Lansdowne trust our clinics because results are seen and felt every day at the dinner table, not just in the office.

Proven Experience
Experience matters. In our years of supporting patients across Devon, Chester Springs, and Lansdowne, we’ve helped thousands of local people with every type of hearing challenge. From mild loss to complex cases, nothing is left to guesswork.
Patients choose our clinics because they know experience brings confidence, and confidence brings results.
Ongoing Support & Adjustments
Hearing aids aren’t a “fit and forget” device. That’s why maintenance visits are planned in advance from day one.
With regular checkups and careful adjustments, your devices always perform at their best.

Compassion for Every Stage
The journey to better hearing can feel overwhelming. That’s why compassion matters at every stage. Whether it’s your first test or your 10th adjustment, patience and understanding are guaranteed.
This approach ensures that you feel reassured, supported, and never rushed.
Compassion makes the experience calmer, easier, and more human.
A Practice Built Around You
Every detail, from appointment length to aftercare, is designed with one focus: you. No corporate pressure, no one-size-fits-all plans, no hidden agendas. Just a practice where your hearing health is the top priority.
Patients feel the difference immediately because everything is built with their success in mind.

Outcomes That Last
A hearing aid alone doesn’t create better hearing. It’s the expertise, the fitting, the adjustments, and the ongoing coaching that deliver lasting results.
That’s why outcomes here go far beyond the device. Patients don’t just get technology; they get better hearing that sticks, day after day, year after year.
A Partner for the Long Haul
Better hearing is a journey, not a quick stop.
That’s why patients here gain a partner, not just a provider. From the first appointment to years down the road, support is constant and consistent. Patients know this isn’t about short-term results. It’s about being there for the long haul.

Platinum-Level Care That Puts You First
While many clinics focus on the gold-standard, we like to take things up a notch.
Our platinum rule ensures two things: patients are treated how they want to be treated, and individual backgrounds and unique needs are considered with every appointment, treatment recommendation, and conversation. With the platinum rule at hand, we aspire to create a more empathetic and inclusive healthcare space that allows patients to focus on what matters most: hearing the life they love like they’re twenty-one again.
From Touchdowns to Hole-in-Ones: The Impact of Sports on My Mental and Physical Health
Something that I’m passionate about both in and out of the office is the impact that your physical health can have on your mental health and overall well-being. I love playing, watching, and talking about sports wherever I can!
Ping-Pong
I started playing ping-pong when I was a kid. I was only just tall enough to reach the table, but I got pretty good and managed to beat the older kids in the neighborhood when we all played on the front porch in the summer. In a close-knit community like mine, with an average of six kids per household, that confidence boost was life-changing.
That was my first experience of confidence outside of my family; when you’re a kid, you remember a major milestone like that. I’ve been playing ping-pong ever since, and that confidence in my own accomplishments has transferred into my work here.
Football
I moved into playing football in high school. My team won the Philadelphia City Championship and set some records that, according to my coach, nobody had beat in 150 years!
Football was something that really helped me grow up a lot. Seeing the lasting effects of doing my part and making sacrifices for my team helped me mature from an adolescent into an adult.
Golf
I took up golf as an adult in between my busy schedule here, and within my first year I’ve managed to lower my score by around 40 to 45 strokes (in golf it’s a good thing to decrease your score!).
I didn’t expect golf to impact me so much, but I feel like a little kid again, getting into a sport for the first time and getting better through hard work and perseverance. I also get the same social benefit from golf that I did from my high school football team; I always play golf with a lot of people with me.
It may not feel like it in the moment, but smacking a golf ball high, passing the football around, or hitting the ping-pong ball back and forth is far more than just a sport. For me, getting active changed my mindset and my life for the better.
