Hearing Aid Prices
WHAT IS THE REAL COST OF HEARING AIDS
What is the cost of hearing aids?
Most hearing aid shoppers will always ask about cost when researching hearing aids.
Prospective patients have asked us thousands of times this question. Recently, people also have asked us for the annual cost of hearing aids.
That is understandable.
Hearing aid cost is important (although it’s one of many hearing aid ownership costs). Cost implies the level of hearing aids and extra services or warranties that are included. Creating an initial budget for hearing aids and accessories is important, and should be followed by a budget for ongoing hearing aid treatment and maintenance.
There are so many hearing aid options so it’s difficult to understand the price until you understand what you should use. A proficient hearing care professional will evaluate your hearing to help you understand what medical devices and treatment plans will give you the best outcomes.
At Hear Like a 21 Year Old , we spend time through the consultative process with everyone, even if a different treatment solution is best for you. Our providers will supply practical price ranges, based on current product offerings, accessories, and treatment plans today.
Remember that prices are only estimates, and may change as product, accessory and treatment plans vary.
What is the hearing aid cost?
Typically, the cost is $1500 to $4,000 per ear. This price includes the professional fitting of medical devices, multi-year follow-up visits, product warranties, and regular care for your ears and your medical devices. This describes a comprehensive treatment plan.
At your free consultation with one of our hearing care professionals, we can supply you with a cost for a customized hearing treatment plan for your hearing loss.
Only the hearing aids
Once in a while, a customer only wants the hearing aids, with no follow-up care or maintenance.
Hearing loss treatment utilizing clinical excellence involves more costs. But, some patients want to try to maintain their ears and their hearing aids themselves and only visit their professional when they decide they need help.
Only getting the aids is “unbundling” which is the separation of the treatment plan and services from the hearing aid costs and the patient pay for services each visit.
Hear Like a 21 Year Old does not recommend unbundling for many reasons. We have found long-term success involves regular visits with regular cleaning, maintenance, device re-testing, and patient re-testing and reprogramming when your hearing changes.
In our clinics, typically our recommendations begin with a comprehensive hearing treatment plan, although some patients select decreased services for certain reasons.
