What is the hearing aid cost?

Typically, the cost is $1500 to $4,000 per ear.  This price includes the professional fitting of medical devices, multi-year follow-up visits, product warranties, and regular care for your ears and your medical devices.  This describes a comprehensive treatment plan.

Only the hearing aids

Once in a while, a customer only wants the hearing aids, with no follow-up care or maintenance.

Hearing loss treatment utilizing clinical excellence involves more costs.  But, some patients want to try to maintain their ears and their hearing aids themselves and only visit their professional when they decide they need help.

Only getting the aids is “unbundling” which is the separation of the treatment plan and services from the hearing aid costs and the patient pay for services each visit.

Hear Like a 21 Year Old does not recommend unbundling for many reasons.  We have found long-term success involves regular visits with regular cleaning, maintenance, device re-testing, and patient re-testing and reprogramming when your hearing changes.

In our clinics, typically our recommendations begin with a comprehensive hearing treatment plan, although some patients select decreased services for certain reasons.

Initial Hearing Aid Fitting and Fine-Tuning

Following clinical excellence, the first hearing aid fitting and fine-tuning includes the following at Hear Like a 21 Year Old.  These services vary from hearing provider to provider as many do not include real ear measurement, a brain hearing treatment plan, and a comprehensive service plan:

These services begin in the first month of service and are normally prescheduled into the future to assure proper care of your hearing, your ears, and your devices throughout the year.

You may need to purchase an extended service plan when your initial treatment plan expires or if you had a previous provider and now want us to service your hearing aids.
